Video News Release
To add or embed a video in a news release, the video must be first added to a site like YouTube.com, Vimeo, on your server, etc in flash (flv format). The resulting video URL should be mentioned in the news release. The video will be then automatically embedded in the news release below the video URL. You are free to add the video version of the news release, product video, company video, or any other video.
Here are the instructions in more detail -
1. The video URL should look like – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=video_code, where video_code is specific to your video.
2. If you are already submitting your news release, then skip this step, else click to submit your news release with the premium package.
3. For proper news release formatting, the video URL must appear after first 500 characters if there is no image in the news release, and after first 1000 characters if an image is added to the news release. Logos added through business profile are exempt from this condition.
4. The video URL must be in the last line in a paragraph or be in a single line, again, for proper formatting.
5. The embedded video will be visible in preview mode during submission process.
6. If you see a big blank space below the video URL, instead of the video, then you may have an incorrect video URL. You can test the video URL simply by pasting it in your web browser to check if this is the case, otherwise contact us (click: Contact Us above).
